What you need to know
- It is managed in the UniFi Access application, which needs a UniFi Console that supports Access. Ubiquiti describes Access as licence-free.
- It is powered by PoE or a UL 294 Class 2 or LPS/PS2 power supply at 48 V DC, with a maximum draw of 13 W. Cat 5e or better cabling is recommended.
- Touch Pass needs UniFi OS 4.4.6 or later, Access 4.1.15 or later, Remote Access enabled and intercom firmware 1.7.29 or later. 10 Touch Passes are free for the first year.

Which credentials does the G3 Intercom support?
Ubiquiti lists NFC cards and keyfobs, PIN entry, Apple and Google Wallet, mobile unlock and face unlock, plus two-way intercom and doorbell use. Bluetooth LE 4.2 and NFC at 13.56 MHz provide the wireless connectivity.
Is the G3 Intercom weatherproof?
Yes, it is rated IP65 for indoor and outdoor use. The device operates from -30 to 60 °C and the 7" display from -25 to 60 °C. Humidity is rated at 5 to 90% non-condensing.
Does the G3 Intercom support Touch Pass?
Yes. Ubiquiti's help centre lists the G3 Intercom (firmware 1.7.29 or later) as a Touch Pass reader. A free one-year trial of 10 Touch Passes is included, after which additional passes are bought by the Console Owner.

Efficient IS supplies the UniFi Access G3 Intercom to UK organisations, with delivery, survey and installation available on request.
Where the G3 Reader Pro combines reader and intercom in one unit, the G3 Intercom is a dedicated video intercom terminal, the right choice when a door already has (or doesn’t need) a separate access reader, but does need a proper “see and speak before you let someone in” entry point.
It still supports Touch Pass unlock for staff who shouldn’t need buzzing in every time, and sits on the same UniFi Access app as the rest of the range.
