SECTOR Β· NHS & HEALTHCARE

Signage, AV and IT for healthcare organisations that can’t afford downtime or a data slip.

Wayfinding, waiting room content, multi-site clinical collaboration and the network underneath it all β€” specified for hospitals, health centres and clinics across the UK, and built the same way for dental practices, opticians and private healthcare providers who need the same reliability without an NHS-sized budget.

Where this shows up

Four places healthcare AV and IT actually earn their keep

Wayfinding & signage

Directional signage and digital way-finding for hospitals, health centres and larger clinics — reducing missed appointments and the constant “which way to X-ray” questions at reception.

Waiting room & patient communication

Appointment status, health promotion content and service updates on screen — genuinely reduces perceived wait times, and works identically well in a hospital outpatients department or a two-chair dental practice.

Multi-site clinical collaboration

Video conferencing between sites for multidisciplinary team (MDT) style case discussions, remote specialist input and cross-site meetings — delivered through the same Meeting Room & Boardroom AV systems we install for any client, specified for reliability when a clinical decision is waiting on the call.

Network & connectivity

Structured cabling, WiFi and cloud services for new-build or refurbished clinical space — patient WiFi kept properly separated from clinical and administrative traffic, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Where we work

NHS boards and healthcare providers across the UK

We’re a UK-wide AV and IT partner for the healthcare sector — based in Scotland, with a genuine NHS track record here through relationships like the one below, and just as ready to work with NHS trusts, health boards, dental practices, opticians and private healthcare providers anywhere else in the UK. The same design, staging and support process applies wherever your site is, so there’s no reason NHS work has to stop at the border.

Not on the list? Get in touch anyway — these are examples of where we’re active, not the limit of where we’ll work.

Beyond hospitals

Primary and private healthcare needs the same thinking, at a different scale

Most healthcare AV conversations default straight to “hospital” — but dental practices, opticians, private clinics and GP surgeries have the same underlying problems: patients who need to understand what’s happening, staff who need reliable kit that doesn’t eat into appointment time, and hardware that survives being cleaned constantly. The difference is scale and budget, not the underlying requirement.

Dental practices

Screens that turn waiting time into useful time — treatment and hygiene education content, practice information, and in-surgery displays for talking patients through a treatment plan rather than describing it.

Opticians

Waiting area and in-store screens covering eye health content and current frame ranges — the same content management platform as our retail & restaurant screens solution, since an optician’s front-of-house is genuinely part retail space.

Private clinics & multi-site groups

One content management platform pushing consistent messaging across every location in a dental or optical group, updated centrally rather than practice-by-practice — the same multi-site approach we already run for larger public sector estates.

Specified for clinical environments

Hardware that survives being cleaned twenty times a day

Screens and touch hardware in clinical and patient-facing areas take a different level of punishment than an office meeting room — and infection control isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the baseline. We specify accordingly: sealed bezels with no gap for fluid or debris to collect at the screen edge, IP54+ rated hardware in any splash-prone area (reception counters, clinical corridors, washrooms), and antimicrobial-coated touch surfaces that hold up to repeated isopropyl alcohol wipe-downs without degrading. It’s a small detail that shows up constantly in NHS estates and independent practices alike, and it’s exactly the kind of thing that gets missed when signage is bought as an afterthought rather than specified properly from the start.

Built around your compliance obligations

We design with DTAC, DSPT and information governance in mind

Any technology touching an NHS network or patient-facing data sits inside a compliance framework, and we design around it rather than leaving you to retrofit it: content management platforms and network architecture that keep signage and AV traffic properly segmented from clinical systems, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 obligations considered at the design stage (not bolted on afterwards), and an approach that supports — rather than complicates — your organisation’s own Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) submission and, where a project involves digital health technology in scope for it, the NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC). We’re not your Data Security Officer and this isn’t a substitute for your own governance sign-off — but it does mean the technical groundwork is already pointed in the right direction when that conversation happens, rather than working against you.

What our NHS clients say

Proof it works

Point-of-care patient data, installed without a ward ever closing

CASE STUDY · HEALTHCARE

NHS Tayside: Ward eWhiteboard Installs Across a Live Clinical Estate

Electronic ward whiteboards giving clinical staff point-of-care access to patient data, installed and maintained across NHS Tayside's hospital estate — from Ninewells, the health board's largest acute site, to smaller community hospitals — procured through Insight and fitted around live clinical activity rather than around it.

Screens from 32″ to 65″ depending on the ward and space available, delivered as both new installs and swap-outs of units reaching end of life — the same fitting standard applied across five hospital sites and counting, each one scheduled around ward activity so care is never interrupted.

Questions we're asked most

Answered plainly

Is your signage suitable for clinical and infection-controlled areas?

Yes — we specify sealed, IP54+ rated hardware with antimicrobial touch surfaces for clinical and patient-facing areas, built to withstand routine alcohol-wipe disinfection, and confirm suitability for any specific infection-control requirement during the design stage.

Can waiting room and signage content be updated centrally across multiple sites?

Yes — cloud-based content management allows scheduling and updates across every site from one dashboard, with permissions by location if needed. This works identically whether it's ten NHS sites or a five-practice dental group.

Do you work with NHS boards directly or through partners?

Both — we're open to direct engagement and delivery via partner and public sector procurement frameworks. Get in touch to discuss the right route for your organisation.

How does technology in a clinical setting handle data security and DSPT/DTAC obligations?

We design signage and AV deployments with proper network segmentation from the outset, so patient-facing content systems don't sit on the same network path as clinical or administrative data — supporting your organisation's own DSPT submission rather than working against it. Where a project touches digital health technology in DTAC's scope, we work to your assessment requirements as part of the design, though the formal sign-off always sits with your organisation's own governance process.

Do you work with dental practices and opticians, or only large NHS sites?

Both, and the split is closer to even than you'd think. A single-site dental practice and a multi-site NHS estate have the same underlying requirements — reliable hardware, sensible content management, and infection-control-appropriate specification — just at different scale and budget.

Do you only work with NHS boards in Scotland?

No — while our NHS track record is strongest in Scotland through relationships like NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, we deliver AV, IT and network projects for NHS trusts, boards and private healthcare providers right across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle. The same design, staging and support process applies wherever your site is, so get in touch regardless of location.

Have an NHS, private healthcare or practice project in mind?

Tell us what you're trying to fix — a single waiting room, a multi-site rollout, or the network underneath it — and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic.
