Description
d&b’s Y-Series pairs Y8 or Y10P line array elements with a Y-SUB cardioid subwoofer, driven by d&b’s D-Series amplifiers (D80 typically, scaling to D40/D90 by system size) — passive, amp-rack-driven rather than self-powered, so the amp rack is part of the spec, not an optional extra. Y8 reaches 139dB max SPL at 80° horizontal coverage; each cabinet’s vertical splay adjusts 0–14° to curve the array to the room. Positioned as d&b’s mid-size “workhorse” line, sitting between the compact V-Series and the larger arena-scale J-Series — the right fit for theatres, performing arts venues and halls rather than stadium-scale touring rigs.
