Description
The Crestron DM-NVX-D30 is a decoder-only endpoint in the Crestron NVX AV-over-IP platform: it receives 4K60 4:4:4 video with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support from a DM NVX encoder elsewhere on the network, and outputs it to a display via HDMI at under one frame of latency. It runs over standard Gigabit Ethernet on PoE+ (no separate power supply needed at the display end), which is what makes NVX practical for large corporate, education and NHS deployments — new displays go on the existing network switch rather than needing dedicated AV cabling run to every room. It needs a matching DM NVX encoder elsewhere on the network (not included) and a nonblocking, IGMP-capable network switch to handle multicast video traffic — both worth confirming as part of scoping a project around this unit rather than assuming existing switching will cope. Commonly specified alongside the Crestron NVX AV-over-IP Campus System already in this catalogue, either as a smaller standalone deployment or as additional decode points on a larger campus-wide rollout.
