What you need to know

CBT Series columns are passive loudspeakers, so they need external power amplification. The CBT 70J-1 is rated at 8 ohms nominal impedance.
The CBT 70J-1 includes a swivel and tilt wall bracket. Outdoor IP-55 use requires the optional MTC-PC2 panel cover.
Column length and model are chosen to suit the room, with the CBT 70J-1 suggested for restaurant or lobby scale and the CBT 100LA-1 or CBT 200LA-1 for larger function rooms.

Frequently asked questions

What is Constant Beamwidth Technology?

JBL describes it as delivering consistent coverage in a slim vertical column, using analog delay beam-forming and amplitude tapering to reduce lobing outside the coverage area.

Are the CBT columns active or passive?

They are passive, so each column needs to be driven by a suitable external amplifier.

Do you survey and install hotel and restaurant sound systems?

Yes. Survey, delivery and installation can be arranged on request.
