JBL’s CBT Series (CBT 50LA-1, CBT 70J-1, CBT 100LA-1, CBT 200LA-1, CBT 1000, plus matched subwoofer systems) uses Constant Beamwidth Technology — analog delay beam-forming and amplitude tapering across a slim vertical cabinet — for even, low-lobing sound coverage without the narrow, unpredictable directionality of a standard speaker. Genuinely suited to hotel lobbies, restaurants and function rooms per JBL’s own hospitality case studies (hotels, beach clubs, weddings, ballrooms). CBT 70J-1 fits restaurant/lobby scale; CBT 100LA-1 or CBT 200LA-1 for larger ballroom or function-room coverage.
