The Allen & Heath SQ-6 offers 24+1 motorised faders across 6 layers, up to 48 input channels and 8 onboard RackExtra FX engines at 96kHz — sized for a single school hall rather than A&H’s larger SQ-7 flagship, which is built for touring and large professional installs. A&H’s SQ range is marketed for professional live sound and AV installation generally rather than education specifically, so this is a genuinely capable desk applied to a school hall rather than a purpose-built education product — worth knowing when a customer asks why they’re being quoted “professional touring” gear for a school assembly.
