What you need to know

CAST is C-TEC's addressable protocol, used with XFP and ZFP control panels. The panel is chosen by the number of loops and zones the building needs.
A voice alarm layer for announcements and zoned evacuation messaging is not part of this system. It is supplied separately through C-TEC's sister company SigNET and is scoped as a paired system.
Detectors, call points, sounders and interface modules are separate device types, each with its own EN 54 part.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the XFP and ZFP panels?

C-TEC lists XFP as a 1 or 2 loop range and ZFP as a touchscreen range with 1 to 8 loops. Both support up to 255 addressable devices per loop.

Does it include voice alarm?

No. Voice alarm is supplied separately through SigNET and is scoped alongside the fire detection system.

Can you survey and install it?

Delivery, survey and installation are available on request, and the final quote follows a site survey.
