Baldwin Boxall’s VIGIL3 is their current flagship voice alarm system, certified to BS EN 54-16 and designed to BS 5839-8 — the standard covering voice alarm design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for buildings including hospitals. It handles fire evacuation announcements and zoned alerts (including the progressive horizontal evacuation pattern common in UK hospital wards). It pairs alongside a trust’s existing nurse call system rather than replacing or integrating with it — nurse call itself is a separate specialist system from providers like Aid Call or Jontek, worth scoping as its own line item rather than assuming one system covers both.
